The CNS Musical Creative Team takes casting very seriously. At auditions, students are scored, using our published rubric, by a panel of five members of the CNS Musical Creative Team. From there the top scoring students are called back to read and sing for particular roles and are again evaluated by the Creative Team. Roles have been carefully cast based on students strengths, chemistry between characters, and on the overall vision for this year’s production of “Mean Girls”. We know many of you will be both happy and disappointed, and we can share in those joys and frustrations having been in your shoes in the past. Please know all decisions have been made based on our scoring and many discussions between the creative team members, and we do all we can to be transparent and open about our process. However, this is never an easy thing for us either! Please be gentle with yourselves and gentle with each other. We do not tolerate bullying of any kind, and if drama arises after the cast list is posted, the person or people causing the drama will be removed from the production. Each of you should be proud of the work you have done thus far; putting your heart into the audition process and being brave and taking a chance in auditioning. Congratulations to the cast of “Mean Girls”. We are so excited to begin working on this monster of a show! Gear up for our first read through and rehearsal for ALL on Tuesday, December 20th from 3-6 PM. You will be measured for costumes, go over important information, and receive your rehearsal schedule. There will also be a musical rehearsal on Thursday, December 22nd from 2:00-4:00 in the auditorium. Let’s dive into this experience head first- together. It’ll be so FETCH!
